Gov Lonyangapuo's Latest Phrase Leaves Kenyans in Stitches [VIDEO]

West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo left netizens in stitches after unveiling his latest catchphrase.

While addressing area residents on Friday, the first-term governor, who is famed for his kijana fupi round jibe, used unlikely words to describe the security situation in the Chensegon area.

He explained that shetani moja nono round, which translates to one fat short devil, was the reason behind the extrajudicial killings in the area and it should be dealt with.

"Kuna shetani moja nono round amekaa katikati ya border. Huyo ashindwe. Shindwe. Hata polisi waende wamuwe. Lakini polisi pia msiogope kuenda huko.

(There is one fat short devil who is seated in the middle of the border. May it be defeated. Police officers should go and kill it. They should not fear going there)," he stated.

Lonyangapuo's remarks left resident in stitches as he is known to poke fun at serious issues.

He urged the Pokot, Turkana and Marakwet communities to embrace each other since it was the only way to restore calm in the region.

"You have no choice. They are your neighbours, permanent and pensionable. All these problems will end.

"If you feel someone is on the wrong, there are courts. This issue of smuggling people is bad manners," he added.
