Jacque Maribe Visits Itumbi After Arrest [PHOTOS]

Journalist Jacque Maribe on Wednesday showed her support for digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, who was arrested by Flying Squad officers in Nairobi.

Maribe, who is facing murder charges, made the visit to Muthaiga Police Station where the two could be seen in high spirits.

Itumbi was reportedly taken into custody in a probe over a fake letter on an alleged plot to assassinate Deputy President William Ruto.

The duo has had a long-standing friendship, with Itumbi standing by Maribe when she was arrested and taken to court over the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Itumbi will spend the night in the cells awaiting arraignment in court on Thursday.

Speaking to journalists, his lawyer Moses Chelanga, stated that the detectives had not told them the reason for Itumbi's arrest.

"From the questions, he was being asked during the interrogation, we suspect it's the La Mada letter," Chelanga stated outside the police station.

Earlier in June, Itumbi pranked his followers by inviting them to Jacque's 'babe' shower which many took to mean that the journalist was expectant.

While posting a photo of a heavily pregnant Maribe, Itumbi announced that the baby shower would be on Saturday, 22nd June 2019.

"Dress Code - Your Favourite Colour!" he told his Instagram followers.
