Top Radio Jambo Presenter Snubs Ksh2M Radio Citizen Offer

A source close to Kenyans.co.ke has revealed that Radio Citizen failed to convince talented Radio Jambo presenter, Joseph Ogidi aka Gidi Gidi, to join the Royal Media-based station.

Radio Citizen offered a mouth-watering Ksh2 Million to the former musician, in a bid to have him ditch his current employers.

However, Radio Jambo countered the potential pouching, and presented another offer to Gidi, thus waving off Citizen’s attempt.

Gidi Gidi, together with co-host Jacob Ghost Mulee, hosts the popular show Gidi na Ghost Asubuhi, with a fan favourite section dubbed Patanisho.

He is undoubtedly one of the most popular radio personalities in Kenya.

Gidi, who switched music for journalism, has proved his critics wrong by maintaining a wide fan base and a radio career that is fast reaching out to its full potential.

With his infectious laugh and a rich sense of humour, he has managed to remain at the top of the game and attracted even more fans and followers.

Radio Citizen is also among the best radio stations in the country and houses notable names like Willy M Tuva and Vincent Ateya.

The journalist, however, played coy with the issue and refused to comment on the matter when contacted by us.

No comments on the story,” Gidi declined.
