Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday confronted a drunkard who was causing a stir at his rally in Kehancha, Migori County.
As Ruto was concluding his speech, the drunk young heckled forcing the DP to intervene.
"Wewe kijana...wewe nani...either utanyamaza ama utaondoka kwa hii mkutano (Hey you young man! You either shut up or get out of my function)," Ruto warned.
"Unasikiaa wewe (Do you hear me)? Keep quiet. Ala! Hatutaki utuletee mambo ya ulevi hapa (We don't need your alcohol-induced drama here)," he spoke.
The DP was in Migori County to launch the 75km Isebania-Ikerenge-Kehancha-Ntimaru-Gwitembe-Ang'ata-Lolgorian Road.
He advised leaders to focus on development, forge a united front and work for the people.
"We will continue to pursue causes that enhance quality service delivery; empower wananchi; foster equity and promote oneness," he posted on Twitter.
The DP also commissioned the Mabera Technical Training Institute and opened a computer laboratory and library for Kubweye Mixed Secondary School.
"Technical training enhances the skills and competencies of the youth, meets the needs of employers and increases the likelihood of employment.
"It leverages on craft and technology to further industrialisation and accentuates a country's competitiveness," Ruto noted.
