Watch as Overjoyed Waiguru Dances Her Way Into Wedding Venue [VIDEO]

Kirinyaga Governor, Anne Waiguru, was all smiles on Saturday as she tied the Knot with her fiancé, lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo, in a well-attended event.

In the video, the governor is seen dancing alongside her bridal party clad in brown-coloured traditional attire while arriving at the venue.

The women were escorting the woman of the moment to the tent area where a white dome housed the grand festivities.

Her husband arrived a few hours later.

The grand event took place at Kiamugumo Primary School in Kirinyaga County.

Kamotho and Waiguru began dating in 2009 when they bumped into each other in a ferry channel in Likoni.

At the time, they were traveling for a constitutional conference and so they decided shared a simple meal - a loaf of bread and soda. 

Various dignitaries including President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, attended and danced at the ceremony.

Other leaders who attended the event include Siaya SenatorJames Orengo, Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina, Public Service CAS Rachel Shebesh, Nairobi politician Beatrice Elachi, Gender Commission member Priscilla Nyokabi, and Waiguru's namesake, University of Nairobi Student Association chairperson Anne Mvurya.
