Drama as Armed Gunmen Shoot 3 During High-Speed Chase

Three people are admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital after they were shot by armed robbers in Nairobi on Saturday.

The thugs had just robbed a scrap metal dealer in Ngara of Ksh140,000 and were escaping on a motorcycle headed toward the city centre.

According to reports by The Standard, the first man was shot and injured in the leg at Guru Nanak area at 10.10am.

After shooting the first man, the gang rode towards Park Road direction, on reaching Race Course Road, they attempted to steal a motorbike from a Boda Boda rider.

The rider was shot and injured in the stomach after he tried to wrestle the criminals.

A third man, who witnessed the shooting of the Boda Boda rider and attempted to stop the criminals was also shot.

Nairobi police chief Philip Ndolo stated that officers were hunting for the gunmen who were also caught on camera as they fled the scene of the crime.

Witnesses narrated that the thugs were armed with a pistol and an AK47 rifle.

The injured who were in critical conditions were stabilised and by Saturday evening were out of danger according to Ndolo.

The Nairobi police boss also confirmed that the motorbike that the thugs used to escape was discovered abandoned in Dandora.
