Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday came out to speak about the move by the Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju.
Ruto took to his twitter handle to sarcastically criticise the move that saw Tuju become a key adviser to ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
“So our democracy is so liberal that the SG of the ruling party has become the chief strategist of the opposition!! Maajabu(surprising),” the DP tweeted.
The CS without a portfolio is now said to be the key advisor to Odinga on matters development in the Nyanza region.
Tuju’s fortunes changed in the region since the famous March 9, 2018, handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
The former Rarieda MP had been branded as a traitor, when he joined retired President Mwai Kibaki and his affiliation with Uhuru, only made it worse.
The comment by the DP comes barely two weeks after some of his allies demanded that the Jubilee Secretary-General resigned over what they termed as undermining DP Ruto.
They further accused him of being behind the woes that have engulfed the part I recent times.
"Tuju is responsible for the confusions in the party. He is out to finish Jubilee Party and we are not going to allow it," Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika fiercely threatened.
Kihika affirmed that sacrificing Tuju was the only way to salvage the party from splitting, she blamed Tuju for working with external forces to ignite a fire within the party.
