Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has taken issue with Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Fred Matiang'i and Principal Secretary (PS) Karanja Kibicho for ignoring him.
He claimed that he has been trying to reach the two but his efforts have been futile.
“For four months I have looked for Kibicho to discuss security matters in the North Rift in vain.
"I have sent him text messages and called him, but he never answers,” he remarked.
According to the legislator, Matiang'i and Kibicho have been engaging in early campaigns instead of doing their work.
He further accused them of not doing much to curb cattle rustling in his constituency.
Sudi, who was speaking at Cheptulel Boys Secondary School, also questioned why no security personnel had been deployed in the area.
He faulted Matiang'i and Kibicho for lacking effective security strategies to put an end to cattle rustling in volatile areas.
“We are now asking the police to allow us as leaders to look for our ways to deal with the insecurity.
We can use other means because our people will not be killed as we watch. We can find alternatives,” he added.
