DP Ruto Snubs Goat Meat Seller During Rally

On Sunday, Deputy President William Ruto snubbed a seller who was begging him to purchase his goat meat.

Ruto was addressing a rally at Kiamaiko, Nairobi, after attending a church service in the area.

The crowd cheered on, chanting ‘hustler’, in a bid to convince the Jubilee leader to dig into his pockets and pour out cash to the youth.

However, their plea fell on deaf ears, as the DP waved off their request by refusing to even comment on the matter.

He momentarily paused and laughed, then went on to address the rally.

“We want to work hard to improve slaughterhouses so that businesses for those who work here do not suffer loses,” the DP tactically avoided being coerced to buy the meat.

The move was a surprise to many as the DP is famous for giving out bundles of money and making seemingly such purchases.

Last month, Eunice Atieno, a maize vendor along Ngong Road, benefited from DP Ruto’s philanthropy when he stopped by the roadside to buy her whole stock of roasted maize. Eunice claimed that she was awarded Ksh10,000 by the DP.

In the same month, a vocal man in Kawangware managed to charm into DP Ruto's pockets after he wowed him. A video seen by Kenyans.co.ke showed the DP calling him from a crowd of people and issuing him with a microphone, after which he pumped up the crowd.

Ruto issued the man with a white envelope which most probably contained money.
