Kenyan senators, on Thursday, held a protest march to Milimani Law Courts to file their petition against 23 laws passed at the National Assembly.
The Speaker of the Senate, Kenneth Lusaka, had earlier on signed affidavits to the petition by the Senate, that is set to be filed in the High Court of Kenya.
They are opposed to 23 legislations which they claimed to have been passed by the National Assembly without their input, as is required by law.
The procession was led by Nandi Senator and Senate Justice and Legal Affairs Committee Chairman, Samson Cherargei.
He mentioned three key issues while speaking on KTN News, all of which revolved around clarification of passing of laws in the National Assembly.
The following acts passed by the National Assembly were termed by the senators as unconstitutional, null and void for violation of articles 96, 109, 110,111.112 and 113 of the constitution.
