As is usually the case, Kenyans on Friday were at it again having a field day on social media. Most of them weighed in on the hot trending topics of the day including:
Business mogul Manu Chandaria, 90, on Friday solemnised his marriage to his wife, Aruna Chandaria, 85, at the attorney general's Sheria House office, Nairobi.
In a photo seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the couple appeared happily married and still in love even after 64years as they shared a kiss.
Considered as one of Kenya’s most successful businessmen, he had the option of planning a lavish wedding but chose to have a simple one instead, much to the dismay of Kenyans.
The wedding sparked debate among social media users with a majority congratulating the billionaire for being modest.
On the other hand, others questioned how long a couple should wait before formalising their marriage.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna on Friday found himself in an awkward position after a video of him circulated online vowing to resign if former presidential aspirant Ekuru Aukot’s party, Thirdway Alliance Kenya, managed a one million threshold required to invoke a referendum in its Punguza Mizigo initiative.
“I can guarantee you and I want to bet in front of this country, if this Thirdway Alliance is able to raise these signatures, I will resign as the secretary-general of ODM,” Sifuna vowed.
However, when commenting on the video on social media, Sifuna sarcastically denied having any knowledge of the video.
"It wasn't me, I was misquoted, I don't recall, I said re-sign not resign, I would rather die, I've never been on KBC and I don't know who Third Way is, Take your pick," he noted.
A section of Kenyans on Twitter immediately called for his resignation asserting that he needed to honour his word.
IEBC, on Thursday, verified former presidential candidate, Ekuru Aukot’s ‘Punguza Mzigo’ Initiative, pushing for constitutional amendments.
The ‘Punguza Mzigo’ initiative seeks a constitutional review to overhaul the structure of government in order to reduce the burden of the cost of governance to taxpayers.
The initiative is said to have met the required threshold of at least one million signatures.
The commission, in a press statement, stated that the initiative sponsored by Aukot’s Thirdway Alliance Kenya Party was supported by a total of 1,222,541 registered voters.
Later that evening, six-armed goons, reportedly raided the Thirdway Alliance Kenya offices in Lavington, Nairobi.
It is alleged that the goons shot at the party's Secretary-General, Fredrick Okango, who ran and hid in one of the offices.
