On Sunday night, Deputy President William Ruto, surprised K24 TV journalist, Anne Kiguta, when he charmed her in a bid to make the hard-hitting interview start on a lighter note.
The DP caught Kiguta by surprise when he inquired how her twins were fairing on and this left her smiling.
“You know kids are important, and they should be nurtured well.
“Please look after them,” the DP requested.
Kiguta was astounded at such a kind act, as she had started the interview with a critical question on DP Ruto’s assassination plot.
“Thank you for asking. The kids are wonderful. You are such a charm offensive,” an enthusiastic Kiguta responded while laughing.
Earlier on, the DP had welcomed the Punchline host to his Karen home, after learning that it was the first time she was at his house.
“First of all welcome to the ‘Hustler’s Mansion’. Welcome to Karen,” the DP made her feel at home.
DP Ruto's interview was her premiere one at K24.
The journalist, who made a sensational comeback to the Mediamax-owned station after quitting Citizen TV in 2018, with the show dubbed Punchline, is a mother to twins (a boy and a girl).
