The late Kibra MP, Ken Okoth, once gave Margaret Kenyatta a priceless gift when she visited his constituency.
The outspoken legislator was a guest during the launch of the Beyond Zero campaign which was graced by the First Lady.
During the ceremony, the 41-year-old lawmaker presented a black handbag to President Uhuru Kenyatta's wife.
Reports indicate that the bag was designed by the women of Kibra. It was made to symbolize innovation and originality.
The First Lady could not hide her joy as she received the gift from Okoth.
The Kibra MP passed on at The Nairobi Hospital on Friday after a long battle with colorectal cancer.
Okoth was rushed to the medical facility on Thursday after his condition deteriorated. He had suffered multiple organ failure.
Close sources revealed that he had specifically stated that he did not want to be on life support and on Friday afternoon, he was pronounced dead.
Speaking to the media, Imran Okoth asked members of the public as well as the media for privacy as they grieve their late kin.
