Jaguar’s Plea Over His Son Living in Tanzania

Starehe MP Charles Njagua Kanyi alias Jaguar, on Friday, shocked local residents and leaders when he revealed that he has a son who lives in Tanzania.

Speaking during the launch of Kesses development plan in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county, Jaguar pleaded with the government officials present to help him reunite with his son in Tanzania.

"(I love Tanzanians so much. In fact, I have a child in Tanzania, a son. However, during this period, I have been unable to visit him. Anyway, since I can see the CAS here, he can ask for forgiveness on my behalf)," he remarked.

Earlier on, Jaguar evoked nostalgic feelings when he was invited to the stage and performed one of his biggest hit songs, kigeugeu.

The flamboyant legislator serenaded the crowd forcing all the leaders to rise up on their feet and groove to the beat.

Among the leaders who attended the event included area MP Swarup Mishra, Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Nominated senator Millicent Omanga, Kapsapet MP Oscar Sudi, Uasin Gishu Woman Rep Gladys Shollei her Laikipia counterpart Cate Waruguru among others.

Recently, the Starehe MP found himself on the wrong side of the law, after he was arrested right outside Parliament building, over alleged xenophobic remarks.

Security officers claimed that Jaguar's remarks regarding Chinese and Tanzanian traders in the popular Gikomba market, were inflammatory and amounted to hate speech.

This was after a video went viral on social media, in which Jaguar is heard telling foreigners trading in his constituency to shut down and vacate the country, failure to which they will be forcefully evicted.
