Sonko's 3 Offers to Nairobians Attending Ken Okoth's Funeral

Nairobi Governor, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has offered food, accommodation and transport to Nairobi residents, who want to attend the late Kibra MP, Ken Okoth's burial.

Speaking during Okoth's memorial service at the Moi Girls School, Sonko divulged that he would donate buses to those who wanted to attend the burial.

"So that Nairobi and Kibra residents can go for our brother Ken Okoth's funeral, I have donated 15 buses that will transport Kibra residents, who will go and take part in Okoth's final send off," he declared.

Sonko added that those who would be chosen to participate in the ceremony would also get food and accommodation.

The governor also talked about the cancer disease and how hazardous it had become urging, especially the women, to get screened in hospitals.

He promised to provide transport to Nairobi residents, who would visit county hospitals and get screened for the disease.

"Nairobi City County Government from Monday will be offering free transport from various areas to our county hospitals for screening," Sonko divulged.

The Kibra MP died on July 26, 2019, at The Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with colorectal cancer.

He had suffered multiple organ failure the day before his death.
