Popular gospel musician Bahati has built his brand to be one of the highest-paid entertainers in Kenya.
During an interview with K24 TV’s Betty Kyallo on Friday August 30, 2019, he disclosed how much he charges for performances.
“If one wants to hire me, he or she should be armed with Ksh 700,000 for an 18 to 25 minutes performance,” Bahati revealed.
That means if you wanted to book him for a two-hour performance, you would have to part with around Ksh3.6 million.
That translates about Ksh 28,000 per minute which is more money than many employed managers make.
His catalogue of hits can comfortably allow him to entertain for more than 2 hours.
Other artists who rake in millions in shows include boy band Sauti Sol, and Akothee.
The controversial female musician told K24 TV during a past interview that she doesn’t take anything less than Ksh1.5 million per show.
Arguably one of the most organised bands, Sauti Sol reportedly has different managers who play different roles in running the group's affairs.
Sauti Sol's rate card is in the regions of between Ksh 800,000 and Ksh5 million depending on the client and location of the show.
