Police Shoot Dead Gangsters Who Struck Colleague's Wife

Police officers, on Tuesday, September 10, gunned down three thugs in Matopeni, Kayole.

The three were said to be part of a five-man gang that was attempting to rob the wife of another officer.

They stated that the other two managed to escape but were being tracked down and will soon be brought to book.

Kayole has been known for high insecurity incidents especially after the rise of the notorious Gaza gang.

Crime in the area led to the emergence of a shadowy crime-fighting figure, dubbed Hessy wa Kayole.

Before his Facebook page was brought down, the crime buster used to post photos of suspected thugs and give them ultimatums.

Hessy was meticulously organised and purposely outfitted to be mysterious and brutal as he countered the rising insecurity in the area.

The individual behind the Hessy character further warned human rights groups to steer clear of his path, accusing them of being silent when the criminals wreaked havoc in the Eastlands neighbourhood.

On October 28, 2017, two police officers attached to Kayole Police Station were shot dead at Matopeni by unknown attackers killers who took away their pistols.
