They were somewhat fortunate to have escaped with all three points in their last game against Aston Villa, as the Midlands side believed they scored an equaliser in the final minute only for the referees whistle preventing the Eagles from making do with a point.
In the end, it was to be Jordan Ayew’s goal that was the difference, as he scored for the second consecutive game for Palace. This was the first time that he had managed to do this for Roy Hodgson’s side.
Palace have excellent pedigree away at the top six after beating Manchester United in their last away game. A last-gasp Patrick van Aanholt goal gave the Eagles a famous win, and they will be looking for another scalp in London on Saturday.
