DBK, as he is famously known hired fellow city lawyer Nelson Havi to represent him in the suit.

"I have retained my friend Nelson Havi in demanding answers from the Senior Counsel Conferment Committee ... What I want is transparency of the matrix and analytical tools used ... Am not asking to be added to the List ... We want the truth for God is Truth," he tweeted.

He stated that he wanted to assuage rumours that some Committee Members were biased in the selection and had their eyes fixed on replacing the Chief Justice.
