Former Mungiki Leader Joins Uhuru's Team [VIDEO]

Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga has called for politicians from the Mt Kenya region to shun divisive politics.

In a video shared on Twitter by Dennis Itumbi on Wednesday, September 25, Njenga was addressing a group of youth that had visited his home in the presence of Youth and Gender CAS Rachael Shebesh.

He further stated that they were going to accompany 'team embrace' in their various exploits across the country in support of their agenda.

Maina further warned the leaders from the Rift Valley that were dividing President Uhuru Kenyatta's backyard.

"We will follow them wherever they go, and ensure no one touches our women, we ensure they speak until they are done with what they have to say,

"The issue of threatening people all over the place, there is no day people will leave the Rift Valley and come to divide Central when I am still in this position," Njenga affirmed.

He further questioned why the leaders were attacking the president while he was still in power rather than wait for his term to end for then to start politicking.

Njenga expressed his concern over the verbal threats by some Rift Valley leader he failed to mention, over the political promise by DP William Ruto and President Kenyatta.

"If they are fighting us at the moment, what about when the president leaves his position what is going to happen?" he wondered.

This sentiment raised concern in some quarters with some leaders wondering whether this was the re-emergence of the outlawed gang.

The video surfaced barely a day after the Nairobi Business Community announced their support for ODM candidate for the Kibra by-election Benard 'Imran' Okoth
