Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale on Saturday, October 19, performed the final ritual following the burial of his first wife, Adelaide Khalwale.
Taking to his social media pages, Khalwale posted a video of villagers singing and dancing as they escorted a charged up bull for a planned match.
"This morning we brought the cultural mourning of Mama Adelaide to a closure with our bull Malinya winning two matches in her honour," the former senator posted on Twitter.
Further, he thanked elders from Sabatia Constituency for visiting his home.
Ms Adelide died of hypertension on October 5, 2019.
On Thursday, October 17, the senator stated that some elders had visited his home to perform some rites after his wife's burial.
"Today elders from the Butsotso Clan paid me a visit at home for the traditional post-burial restocking rites during which they brought me maize and chicken. Thank you my clansmen," he posted online.
His followers were not too pleased with him, attacking him for posting his private affairs on social media.
"I stand corrected. I doubt everything is for posting on social media. These are symptoms of social media addiction," Gerald Thiego stated.
"My respect for you has really gone south. Former MP, senator Dr, really? Is this all you can post? Lately, you are behaving like a form four leaver, trying to learn how to use Facebook," Scotch Allan commented.
"Next, you are going to update us which wife cooked the ingokho and served you well," Akasha Eve weighed in.
