Boni Khalwale Receives Insult-Laden Attack for 'Disrespecting' Dead Wife

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was, on Saturday, October 19, attacked for allegedly disrespecting his wife barely weeks after laying her to rest.

In a Twitter post, the outspoken politician recounted five national occurrences that he had missed because he was mourning his wife.

Among the events were the Punguza Mizigo initiative flop, Eliud Kipchoge set a new world record and Tony Gachoka, KTN News presenter, got arrested for being drunk and disorderly.

Seemingly unimpressed by the former senator's callousness, several Kenyans bashed him for bouncing back into the political ring so soon.

They claimed that he was disrespecting the dead by dragging her name into a Twitter post that had nothing to do with her.

"I had lost the capacity to be shocked anymore going by how low some people can sink until Boni Khalwale returned to Twitter.

"That aside, what's this that Khawale finds so exciting he has to keep reminding everyone on Twitter he lost his wife. He should let her RIP," shared Ben Keraro.

"Lol! So you have finally received your weekly bundles!" ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale trolled him.

"You just buried your beloved wife Mheshimiwa(your honour), it's too early to be tweeting about it. You need to rest," reminded Beatrice Kiche.

The first wife of former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale died of hypertension on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
