David Rudisha Captured Firing a Gun [VIDEO]

Kenya's 800-metre Olympic gold medallist David Rudisha, on Sunday, October 10, caused quite a stir after he was captured while firing a gun.

He opted to mark Mashujaa day at a local gun range, where he fired off a few rounds in what was dubbed as the Mashujaa Day shooting competition.

"Go out do something and have fun. Happy Mashujaa Day," the 800-metre world record holder posted on his facebook page, where he also shared a video of himself at the gun range.

The celebrated athlete serves as a Chief Inspector in the National Police Service, having served as a traffic officer in Iten.

Back in 2016, an image of Rudisha in his police uniform went viral on social media with Kenyans lauding the champion, also known as King David, for his exemplary leadership on and off the track.

In 2010, the 28-year old became the youngest athlete to ever win the IAAF World Athlete of the Year Award.

Rudisha recently escaped unhurt after his car collided with a bus on a highway near Keroka on August 24, 2019.

The collision took place when the 30-year-old gold medalist was travelling home to Kilgoris in Western Kenya, after he lost control of his SUV when a tyre burst.
