Terryanne Chebet's Biggest Regret About Media Career

Metropol TV General Manager, Terryanne Chebet, during a past interview with Malkia Africa, narrated her biggest regret about the industry she has worked in for over 10 years.

On August 9, 2018, the ex-Citizen TV news anchor wished she knew how her private life would change after joining the fourth estate.

According to her, a media personality's life is exposed to a lot of scrutiny by the public.

"One thing I wish I knew before I got into the limelight was the amount of interest that your life generates and sometimes I wish if I knew, I wouldn't have gotten into the kind of career that I did.

"It baffles me and probably it will continue baffling me how the things you do or say are taken out of context. Sometimes you can do something small which ends up being exaggerated," Chebet lamented.

However, she seized her moment of fame and used it to spur herself to greater heights.

"It spurred me to greater heights in my career. However, some of the lessons I learnt is that you can keep a part of your life private," Chebet opined.

Terryanne Chebet was at the peak of her career when she lost her job at Citizen TV in early 2017, after which she went off the radar for a while.

Chebet, who used to headline a popular business news show, disclosed that she learned a lot from the sacking, which came as a shock to her since in her opinion, she was performing at her best.

She joined Fanaka TV before later landing her new job at Metropol TV.
