Chaos at Sonko's Meeting After Traitor is Spotted [VIDEO]

It was mayhem at a meeting called by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's on Sunday, November 3.

In a video posted by Sonko, the purpose of the meeting was to bring together all members of the Nairobi County Assembly (MCAs).

"Unity of purpose. Meeting all Nairobi Mcas. Main focus service delivery," the governor posted.

The meeting that was held at a hotel along Mombasa Road, was attended by the county speaker Beatrice Elachi began on a high note with most legislators pledging their loyalty to the governor.

One particularly vocal MCA, Grace Njambi declared her undying support for the governor, going as far as admitting that she was one of the against Elachi's return to the office, but had changed her mind.

"I was among those telling you that you will leave but again I was among the first to welcome you back because the governor said so," she declared.

In the spirit of confessions and forgiveness, an MCA largely described as a traitor was welcomed to present his little speech but was rudely interrupted by legislators who did not want him to speak.

Things took a different turn and Sonko was forced to intervene in vain.

"We have come here to set aside our differences, no one is considered a traitor. For that reason we should not send away one of our own simply because he/she was a traitor," Sonko pleaded.

Another unidentified legislator present at the event further resolved to calm the yelling legislators, but only made matters worse.

Tempers began to flare as insults were exchanged. The angry legislator moved towards the rowdy MCA before the cameras went off.
