Gov Mutua Taunts Ruto By Leading Damning Chants in Kibra [VIDEO]

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua on Sunday, November 3, led an energetic crowd in Kibra in a chant laden with allegations against Deputy President William Ruto.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader went all out in creating the impression that Ruto had severally been involved in corruption by quoting allegations made against him in the past in an animated chant.

Mutua had joined hands with ODM leader Raila Odinga to campaign for Imran Okoth on Sunday. Imran Okoth will face off against Jubilee's McDonald Mariga in the by-election slated for Friday, November 7.

"Odinga clearly stated that in Kenya, corruption and fraud has escalated. He stated that some leaders have embezzled funds which they are using to bribe you.

"When I was young, there is a song we used to sing in primary school. We used to mock thieves by chanting Thief! Thief! Arrest that thief!," Mutua recalled while mocking corrupt leaders.

However, the crowd picked up his chant and buoyantly responded by mentioning Ruto's name.

Mutua then went on to list a number of allegations as the enthusiastic crowd interluded making it one of the governor's most controversial public statements.

Mutua joined his Kitui and Kirinyaga counterparts Charity Ngilu and Anne Waiguru respectively in campaigning for Imran Okoth.

DP Ruto taunted Odinga by joking that the AU envoy had sought assistance in 'bedroom' matters while speaking at Marigat, Baringo County on Saturday, November 2.

"If you see someone asking for help in the bedroom, you should know that things are thick. Isn't it? It should be every man for himself in the bedroom. There has to be an issue if you see a man asking for reinforcement," he noted.

On Sunday, November 3, Odinga cheekily responded to Ruto stating that he would invite whoever he wishes to his 'bedroom' which is Kibra constituency.

The 'bedroom' in reference is the assertion that Kibra constituency is Odinga's stronghold and that no other party could wrestle the parliamentary seat away from ODM.
