A grisly three-car accident at the Marula black spot on Naivasha-Nakuru highway, on Monday, November 4, has reportedly claimed several lives.
According to Citizen Digital, the accident involved two trailers and a saloon car.
Reports by the Daily Nation claimed that 5 people had been confirmed as dead by Naivasha Deputy Police Commander John Kwasa, adding that the accident occurred after the driver of the saloon car tried to overtake the trailer.
The five were reportedly heading to Karagita from Nakuru for the burial of a family member scheduled for Tuesday, November 5.
Reports further revealed that four women and a child - who were the occupants of the car, were killed on the spot after their vehicle was squeezed between the two trucks.
The drivers of the two trucks, on the other hand, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Naivasha Sub-county Hospital for treatment.
Marula area has been pointed out on several occasions as a dangerous section of the busy highway, having claimed several lives in the past.
