Moses Kuria Boldly Taunts Uhuru

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria escalated his war with President Uhuru Kenyatta when he took swipe at the head of state's remarks on how the Building Bridges Initiative would thwart post-election violence in Kenya.

On Thursday morning, December 5, Kuria through social media argued that he had read the BBI report and did not find any recommendation that punished leaders who allegedly caused violence in the previous elections.

He went on to state that he would visit an optician to re-read the BBI report once again, in what was seemingly an intentional mockery of Kenyatta.

"I have just finished reading the BBI report for myself. I was particularly looking to see why Kenyans fight after every election. This is undoubtedly the biggest win for the BBI and the handshake. I was hoping to see what BBI recommends we do with Moi (retired President Daniel Moi) for igniting violence in 1992 and 1997.

"I was hoping to see how Kenya will honour Uhuru Kenyatta for accepting the 2002 results like a Democrat, a gentleman and a patriot thus avoiding post-election violence. I was hoping to see what BBI recommends we do with Raila Odinga for refusing to go to court in 2007 thus causing two junior officers Kenyatta and William Ruto to be taken to the ICC," Kuria wondered through his Facebook page.

He went on to state his disappointment after finding out that Odinga's 2017 theatrics went unnoticed in the BBI.

"I was hoping the BBI will cite Raila Odinga for refusing to take part in the October 26, 2017 repeat elections and thus contributing to the death of Baby Pendo. I am sure all these things are there. I will visit Optica (a firm that sells spectacles) today and re-read the BBI report again," Kuria trolled the head of state.

Kenyatta on Wednesday, December 4, lashed out at Ruto's allies in Kikuyu dialect, for what he described as participating in early campaigns and changing tune against BBI. He further warned that his silence should not be taken for weakness.

"My silence makes them think that I am dumb. Even before the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report was released, they were traversing the country while engaging in politics. When I keep quiet, they think I know nothing, but when the time comes we will know what to do.

"The report has now been launched and they have now taken a different direction," an angry Uhuru remarked during the official hand-over ceremony of Mang’u Dispensary Outpatient Block in Kiambu County.

Kuria, on November 27, vehemently resisted against Kenyatta's idea of forming of a committee of experts that is set to look into the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
