UPDATE: In retaliation, King Kaka exposed the contact that called his manager Dennis Njenga at 10:41am informing him of the summon.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has refuted claims that it summoned Kennedy Ombima, also known as, King Kaka, over his controversial Wajinga Nyinyi song.
In a statement released on Tuesday, December 17, the agency claimed the lie was peddled to gain popularity.
"We wish to condemn strongly false information being peddled through social media to the effect that one Kennedy Ombima King Kaka has been summoned. Nobody from DCI has summoned him.
"Anybody wishing for publicity should be warned to desist from using the DCI as a platform in seeking media attention," read the statement.
Journalists had already pitched camp at the DCI headquarters gates expecting to cover the rapper as he presented himself at the offices.
Shortly after the DCI announcement, a video captured the rapper making his way to the agency's offices with a battalion of fans in tow.
Several media houses had earlier ran with King Kaka's tweet where he claimed that 'I have just been summoned by The CID.'
The song, which criticised both citizens and leaders alike, had ruffled some feathers with Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru threatening to file a lawsuit against him.
Through her lawyers Paul Kiragu Wathuta, the county head faulted the artist for deliberately omitting to verify the authenticity and accuracy of the contents.
In the spoken-word track, that went viral on Saturday, December 14, King Kaka blatantly criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta's government and called out Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, her Kiambu and Nairobi counterparts Ferdinand Waititu and Mike Sonko for their various failures.
