Dennis Okari Receiving Death Threats From Betty Kyallo's Lover - Ken Mijungu

There is a new twist in the fallout between K24 TV anchor Betty Kyallo and NTV investigative reporter Dennis Okari over what really transpired at the hospital where their daughter Ivanna was diagnosed for a rare disease.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Okari's colleague Ken Mijungu disclosed that the anchor's life was under threat from the obscure Somali guy.

Mijungu further disclosed that he had also received death threats from the same guy after his controversial Facebook post detailing the part Okari played in his daughter's life during the month she was hospitalised at the Nairobi Hospital.

"The Somali guy called me twice threatening me. The call was basically about Betty and what I had posted on my Facebook page. Dennis Okari had also received the threats," confirmed Mijungu.

He also noted that he had reported the matter to the police and was awaiting them to take action.

"The police are investigating the matter," he further stated.

Social media users had concluded that a Kenyan bearing the name, Alinur Mohamed, was the mystery Somali guy that dominated the debate.

His picture made rounds on social media with many claiming to have pieced together evidence revealing the man's identity.

The businessman and aspiring politician, however, on Saturday, January 4, set the record straight stating that he was not the 'Somali guy' as alleged by many online.

"There has been speculation about my personal life in the past few days. Kenyans are linking me to the Somali Guy who was mentioned by NTV news anchor Ken Mijungu in his story that touched on Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari. All these speculation are misleading," Alinur stated on Twitter.

The saga started when Betty narrated about her daughter's struggle with a rare medical condition, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), that landed her in ICU at the Nairobi Hospital for over a month.

Mijungu, however, strongly defended Okari, who is his friend, against what he described as the painting of the latter by his ex-wife as an irresponsible father.
