A tragic accident involving a bus and a matatu at the coastal town of Mida along the Mombasa-Malindi Road on Monday, January 13, has reportedly claimed several lives.
Reports shared by Hot 96 claimed that six people lost their lives following the head-on collision.
Police reports, according to the Daily Nation revealed that the accident 2km from Gede towards Kilifi.
The bus was heading to Mombasa from Hola while the matatu was on its way to Malindi from Mombasa, Traffic Base Commander George Naibei revealed.
The chilling accident happened on the very day that Kitui High Court judge Lilian Mutende survived a chilling road accident on Monday afternoon, January 13.
Reports first published by Citizen Digital revealed that the accident happened in Syongila area along the Machakos-Kitui road.
Kitui County Police Commander Johanna Tonui disclosed that the judge and her driver were immediately rushed to Kitui Level Four Hospital for emergency treatment.
