Kenyans Throw Feast For Miguna in Germany

Kenyans in Berlin, Germany on Monday, January 19 hosted self-styled National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader Miguna Miguna to a special dinner.

The lawyer enjoyed a sumptuous meal featuring Kenyan staples such as ugali, chapati, managu and osuga.

A smiling Miguna disclosed that the group discussed the state of affairs in Kenya, resolving to back him in his quest to return to the country.

"To patriotic Kenyans in Berlin: Thank you for the debates, discourses, managu, osuga, boo, ngenge, ugali na kadhalika.

"The struggle must and will continue until we defeat the despots and conmen in Nairobi. Viva!

"The Berlin Consensus is that each one of us has a duty to defend the constitution; to fight for freedom, liberty and justice; and to ensure that the organized cabals like Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga who have messed up Kenya are defeated - once and for all," the fiery barrister wrote on Twitter.

Since failing in two attempts to board flights from Frankfurt, Germany and Paris, France to Nairobi on Tuesday, January 7, Miguna has been on a mission to build international solidarity for his cause.

The airlines, Lufthansa and Air France respectively, cited requests from Kenyan authorities not to allow Miguna aboard the flights to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

So far, he has met German leaders including the Bundestag's (German Federal Parliament) Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Stefan Liebich and Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Chairman in Berlin Kai Wegner.

"No matter what, Germany should prioritise human rights issues over financial relations. This is not the case with Kenya," Liebich wrote after meeting Miguna on Thursday, January 16.

With President Uhuru Kenyatta expected in London from Monday, January 20 for the UK-Africa Investment Summit, Miguna urged Kenyans in the city to mobilize and protest against him.

He shared addresses where he claimed the President would be spending his time while in London.

"Red alert! Notice to all patriots in London!

"Uhuru Kenyatta will be in London, UK, from January 20, 2020. He will be shuttling between the Town House located at 66 Lowndes Square, Kensington and 10 Downing Street. Find him. Show him that No One is Above the Law!" he posted.

Justice John Mativo had ordered Attorney-General Paul Kihara Kariuki to furnish the court on Tuesday, January 21 with a written opinion on the government's alleged disregard of over 18 court orders to do with Miguna's return after Miguna's lawyers led by John Khaminwa put the state on the spot.
