Uhuru Parties With Nairobians at Live Reggae Concert

President Uhuru Kenyatta in the wee hours of Sunday morning, February 2, couldn't contain his love for Reggae as he joined revelers at the Carnivore Grounds for the UB40 concert.

Several videos captured at the event showed a gleeful Uhuru alongside Citizen TV journalist, Jeff Koinange, singing and dancing along to the celebrated reggae band's tunes.

ODM party leader Raila Odinga was not to be left behind either as he joined his BBI partner at the concert, with the two taking to the stage, where they went on to show off their dance moves, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

The president was in the mood to party as he sang along to almost every song by one of his favourite Reggae bands.

Uhuru and Raila have included elements of Reggae in their BBI rallies, with 'nobody can stop reggae' (a popular reggae track) being played at all their rallies.

It looked like the duo are quite fond of the UK-based reggae group, responsible for global hits such as Red Red Wine, Can't Help Falling in Love among others, as they put their best foot forward and danced the night away.

The Jubilee Party leader was captured on several occasions singing his lungs out as the grammy-nominated band serenaded the Reggae lovers with their best hit songs throughout the night.

Videos of the president letting loose went viral across multiple social media platforms, with several Kenyans welcoming what they termed as a much-needed break from the ongoing BBI rallies that have been a mainstay across all mainstream news channels.

"Nobody can stop Reggae. These guys are living their best lives" Irie Yeta posted on twitter.

Uhuru has on several occasions opened up on his longtime love for reggae music.

In a video dated June 27, 2011, a younger Uhuru who was then the Minister of Finance, was interviewed on the popular Churchill Show.

The host Daniel 'Churchill' Ndambuki is seen asking Uhuru what type of music he listens to, following which the current Kenyan president goes on to name several musicians.

It was at this point that Uhuru revealed his deeply rooted love for Reggae music, with all the names on his list falling in that genre of music.

"I'm stuck in a certain age, my favorite musicians are UB40Bob Marley and Gregory Isaacs." he disclosed.
