Property worth millions was destroyed in a fire after a girls’ dormitory in Passenga Mixed Secondary School in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua county burnt down.
The fire is said to have been caused by an electric fault when students were in classrooms. According to The Star, no one was injured.
Nyandarua Governor Daniel Waithaka arrived at the school and donated supplies to the students. He also promised funding from the county government to be used in rebuilding the dormitory.
The schools principal Simon Wachira called on well wisher to help with buying books and clothes fro the students.
