Ex-ODM Lawmaker Collapses and Dies

A former Member of the Homa Bay county assembly has collapsed and died aged 44 as reported by Citizen Digital on Thursday, February 27.

Rosemary Atieno Oluoch was pronounced dead upon arrival at the  Angiya dispensary where she was rushed to on Wednesday, February 26.

The North Kabuoch ward in Ndhiwa Sub-county was elected to the assembly on an ODM party ticket in 2013.

Her husband Joel Ojuok, is quoted by the publication to have revealed that the former MCA was mopping their house when she abruptly fell down and lost consciousness.

The former legislator was immediately rushed to Angiya dispensary by her relatives who were informed of her predicament by the house help.

Homa Bay County Deputy governor Hamilton Orata in his condolence message to the family, expressed his shock at her demise, noting that she had no prior record of ailment.

Her body has been moved to the Christamariane Hospital mortuary in Kisii County.

Rosemary's demise comes less than two months after yet another ODM official collapsed and died on January 10.

ODM Party's Isiolo County Women Chairlady, Sophia Ali Galgalo, had collapsed and was rushed to Nairobi South Hospital, where she passed on.
