Babu, who is expected to start his classes in two months time, will be taking evening classes.

"I will be working for the people of Embakasi during the day and take classes in the evening.

"I want to expand my level of thinking and that is why I want to go back to school," he continued.

His announcement on his social media pages was not taken so well by some of his followers.

"How many years did you spend in the university? why go to school while there's no chance that happens in your life?" Mugambi posed.

"Your actions and behaviours and education level don't balance. Try to balance them," Benrise Mukoya advised.

"Political science you say, my friend, go to a school of humanity it will do you good," Lydia weighed in.

Babu is the longest-serving student leader in Kenya, having served for four terms in the university, something that earned him massive criticism from the public.

He enrolled at the University of Nairobi in 2008 for a degree in actuarial science and graduated in 2012 with first-class honours.

Immediately after, Babu enrolled for another degree in law.

Previously, Babu was quoted stating that his passion for mathematics motivated him to study actuarial science.

He believes that studying law and politics is a good combination.
