The CS stated that three of the five are from Mombasa County while Nyandarua and Nairobi Counties had recorded one Covid-19 positive case each.

Further, he stated that two are male while three are female.

At the same time, the Health CS informed that 10 individuals had recovered after they tested negative twice and would be discharged.

The number of recovered patients has now risen to 22 while the number of those who have succumbed to the disease still remains at nine.

In his briefing, the CS warned Kenyans against transacting using money instead of E-transactions, stating that the use of cash posed a great danger in contamination of the disease.

"Despite mobile money operators facilitating the ease of doing E- transactions, we have noticed the continuation of people disregarding this and using physical money.

"Physical money provides surfaces that can very easily be contaminated with the virus," he cautioned.

The CS also announced that over 100,000 health care workers had been trained on how to deal with covid-19 positive patients.

"Over 4000 doctors across the country have benefited from an e-based training on the same," he asserted.
