Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua on Tuesday, May 12, blasted the Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee Party, for being behind fake quotes about President Uhuru Kenyatta attributed to her.

Karua took to Facebook to dismiss quotes purported to be made by her on Tuesday over the changes in Jubilee Party's Senate leadership.

The former Justice and Constitutional Affairs minister reiterated that she had not commented on the changes made by the Jubilee Party.

"Fake News Alert. Once again I must ask Jubilee operatives and especially Tanga Tanga to leave me out of their messy divorce.

"I have not made any public statement on the senate leadership changes. To the warring Jubilee factions, I say, carry your cross," wrote Karua.

The fake quote Karua was addressing directly addressed Uhuru in a warning against an imminent failure.

"Uhuru Kenyatta should be told in no uncertain terms that he is driving this country down a dangerous cliff. If he does not stop to think, we will end up where we were in 2007/08.

"We cannot live in a country where the Head of State does not respect the constitution and the rule of law," read the quote.

The fake report alleged that Karua was speaking at a local FM station on Tuesday, where she said that failure of respecting court orders would lead to anarchy.

"When the President doesn't respect court orders, anarchy creeps in and will reign supreme."

The comments were said to be made after reports emerged that orders by the Political Parties and Dispute Tribunal suspended the coalition agreement between Kanu and Jubilee.

This is the second time that Karua has been misquoted as on Thursday, April 16 she also hit out at Deputy President William Ruto's allies over fake news and warned against dragging her name into Jubilee wrangles.
