Nominated Member of Parliament, Godfrey Osotsi slammed Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress (ANC) party officials for dragging Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's name into their wrangles.
Osotsi was speaking to the media on Tuesday, June 9 and cleared Raila's name in the involvement of attempted coups in both ANC and Ford Kenya.
"The truth of the matter is that these parties have been made small, short and thin so that individuals at the helm of this party can use it for selfish interest.
"I cannot allow Kenyans to be fed with propaganda, with hate that Raila Odinga is behind all this, that is not true, what is happening is that these brothers of ours want to join Ruto," explained Osotsi.
Lugari MP Ayub Savula on Monday, June 8, claimed that a top official from Raila's ODM party approached him and presented a plan on how they would overthrow Musalia Mudavadi from his ANC Party.
Osotsi slammed Savula revisiting his court cases and noted that before his father's burial he met with Deputy President William Ruto's allies.
"Honourable Savula has integrity issues, you know he was removed as the chair of the Agricultural Committee, we also know he is facing a serious court case, no sane leader will engage Savula to be the party leader of ANC.
"On Friday, on the eve of that burial, Oscar Sudi and a few other politicians aligned to Ruto met in Eldoret hotel.
There is an ongoing plan to blame internal problems in Ford Kenya and ANC on Raila Odinga, I'm not a member of ODM but I'm an honest Kenyan," he noted.
Osotsi urged a section of Ford Kenya and ANC members to join Ruto without having to use the name of Raila as a scapegoat.
Political analyst Martin Andati while speaking with Kenyans.co.ke differed with Osotsi arguing that his timing was ill-advised.
"With this Coronavirus pandemic, who can hold an election. Osotsi needs to come out clearly and state the terms from which he is calling for an election in ANC.
"Last time I checked, party elections are called for by the Registrar of Political Parties and Osotsi is just but a Nominated MP," Andati stated.
The nominated MP noted that the term of office for all ANC members including Musalia Mudavadi is expiring after the lapse of five years.
"That means on Monday 15th June 2020 the term of office of all party officials including the party leader will have expired," revealed Osotsi.
The party founder noted that elections have been stalled due to the on-going Coronavirus pandemic.
