Kenya Records 91 Recoveries in 24 Hours as 117 Test Positive

Kenya on Friday, June 19 recorded 117 Coronavirus from 3043 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

Health CAS Rashid Aman announced during the daily Coronavirus (Covid-19) briefing at Afya House. 

This now brings the total number of cases to 4,374 and the number of samples tested to 433,541.

91 individuals were discharged in the same period of time, bringing the total of those who had recovered to1,550.

Unfortunately, two patients died, bringing the number of recorded fatalities to119.

The age distribution in the reported cases is between 11 to 75 years with 83 of them being male and 34, female.

The 113 patients are distributed as follows; Nairobi (51), Mombasa (22), Kajiado (18), Kiambu (6), Nakuru and Garissa (5), Machakos (3) while Kericho, Busia and Uasin Gishu 2, Wajir 1.

In sub-counties, the distribution is as follows; Kibra (8), Langata (8), Makadara (6), Dagoretti North (6), Kamukunji (4), Embakasi East (4), Embakasi North (3), Embakasi South (3), Mathare (2), Ruaraka (2), Embakasi Central (2), Embakasi West (1), Starehe (1) and Kasarani (1).

Mombasa has 22 cases from; Mvita (8), Kisauni (5), Changamwe (4), Likoni (3), Jomvu (1) and Nyali (1).

The cases in Kajiado are from; Loitokitok (12), Kajiado Central (2), Kajiado East (2), Kajiado North (1) and Kajiado West (1).
