Orengo Gushes Over Son After Admission to the Bar

Siaya Senator James Orengo is a proud father after one of his sons, Bob Orengo was admitted to the Bar on Friday, July 3.

The ODM leader was full of praise for his son after the ceremony presided over by Chief Justice David Maraga at the Supreme Court. Bob joined Sports CS Amina Mohamed and 94 other advocates in the admission. 

"My boy. A proud and consequential moment! Congratulations on your admission to the Bar Bob," Orengo posted on his social media pages.

His mother, Betty Kaari Murungi who is also a lawyer by profession lauded her son for achieving the milestone.

"Congratulations on your admission to the Bar. All glory to God," Murungi tweeted.

ODM leader Raila Odinga led more plaudits for the junior Orengo, recalling how he had predicted and hoped for success for Bob.

"Bobby, from the first day of our encounter when you were a baby, I knew that you were destined for greatness. I am happy that my dreams are coming to pass. Congratulations," the former Premier tweeted.

Among other notable leaders who praised Bob were lawyers Martha Karua, former Presidential aspirant, Nelson Havi who is also the Law Society of Kenya President and ODM's Director of Communication Philip Etale.

"Congratulations Bob for attaining this milestone. Welcome to the Bar. Make us proud like your father and mother who have shined before you. Flourish and prosper," Havi tweeted.

Bob Orengo graduated in Politics and International Relations too and will follow in the footsteps of his father, a revolutionist and his mother, a human rights activist
