Woman Mysteriously Collapses & Dies While Washing Clothes

A woman mysteriously collapsed and died on Friday, July 17, as she was washing her clothes at her home in Mlolongo estate.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, residents in the area could be seen wailing and screaming when health workers covered in personal protective equipment (PPE) evacuated the body.

Neighbors indicated that the woman's six-year-old son started screaming and calling on neighbours when he noticed that his mother had fallen down.

"She had just taken breakfast before she took her dirty linen outside to do some launtry when she fell.

"Her son started screaming and a neighbour went to help. She took him inside the house and called a doctor who confirmed thats she had passed on," a neighbour narrated.

The cause of her death was not clear at the time of going to press.

Recently, there has been a rise in reported cases of individuals mysteriously collapsing and dying.

A few days ago, the family of Jiweke Tavern Restaurant boss John Keige disclosed that he collapsed outside his home while jogging.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at Nairobi Hospital.

The worrisome trend has been witnessed at a time the country is trying to combat the spread of Covid-19.

In just 24 hours, the country recorded 688 new cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19) with the total cases reported so far rising to 12,750. Of the 12,750 cases, 225 have succumbed while 4,440 have recovered from the disease.
