Former Kiss FM presenter Andrew Kibe has unveiled a new show, barely a month after leaving the Radio Africa-owned station where he hosted the morning show alongside Kamene Goro.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke on Sunday, July 26, Kibe confirmed that he planned to churn out fresh episodes of his web series 'An Issue a Day with Andrew Kibe' everyday.

The first episode debuted on Thursday, July 23, and included an interview with city politician Douglas Kithyaka, a former Lang'ata MP aspirant.

It also carried a fitness theme that Kibe explained was part of a 21-day fitness challenge he was pursuing alongside the content.

"They say it takes 21 days to build a habit, you know. So we are doing this 21-day fitness challenge hence the bits on working out.

"There is this guy called Denno who we are helping out. He went from weighing 181kg and he is now at 150kg," he noted.

Kibe explained that he was publishing new content on different topics everyday even as he ramped up production for An Issue a Day.

On Saturday, July 25, for example, Kibe reviewed several common business ideas in Kenya such as movie shops, car-wash points, salons and car importation.

Together with a team of editors and camera-men, he hopes to cut a niche for himself with unique content ranging from interviews to discussions on various pertinent topics.

Before venturing into radio, Kibe made a name for himself online with viral rants and opinion videos which he shared on his Facebook page.

Thanks to his no-holds-barred approach to sensitive topics, he garnered a large following that propelled him to mainstream media success, having previously dabbled in politics.

An Issue a Day with Andrew Kibe is the latest in a long list of online shows by mainstream media personalities that have proved popular during the Covid-19 period.

Others include Betty Lately by former K24 TV anchor Betty Kyallo, A Chapter a Day by Jeff Koinange and Bonga na Jalas by Jalang'o. who replaced Kibe at Kiss FM.
