We all have those moments when we want to run away from the busy city life and make memories at a game park, a reserve or even out in the ocean.
Since President Uhuru Kenyatta lifted the cessation of movement in and out of Nairobi, the port city of Mombasa and northeastern Mandera, that had been placed as part of the guidelines to ease the spread of COVID-19, a section of Kenyans have taken to visit various parts of the country.
One such couple is COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli and his wife KTN news anchor Mary Kilobi, who spent days at the Mahali Mzuri Safari Camp located in Motogori Conservancy, Maasai Mara.
In photos and videos shared by the news anchor, the duo seemed to enjoy the game viewing of the wild animals roaming on the Kenyan plains.
In one video, specifically, Kilobi could not hide her excitement when she saw a cheetah kill her prey.
"Masai Mara you were good to us," she captioned the video.
Mahali Mzuri Safari Camp is situated in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy in the wider Maasai Mara ecosystem.
The camp has 12 tented suites accommodating a maximum of 24 guests at any time.
Additionally, the camp offers numerous activities including; game viewing, Maasai community tours, spa treatments among others.
To spend a night at the camp, one has to cough up Ksh 329,447 per night and Ksh 1,779,758 to Ksh 2 million depending on the season, for six nights.
It is not the first time the COTU sec-gen has gone to great lengths to give his wife a treat. On January 1, 2020, Atwoli held a lavish graduation party for his wife at their Iladamat home in Kajiado County.
The couple enjoyed themselves at a purple and white themed party, graced by a number of guests and soft music by a band.
