Former Milele FM presenter Eric Kiligo has landed a job at Radio Jambo, a station owned by the Radio Africa Group.

Kiligo, who is known to many as Alibaba, will be hosting alongside Massawe Japanni, in a mid-morning show called Bustani.

The radio presenter announced the career move on his Instagram page when he asked his followers to tune into the station.

“Work mode activated. Tuko na Massawe Japanni ndani ya #Bustani hapa Radio Jambo. Tune in,” Kiligo stated.

At Milele FM, Alibaba hosted two shows; Rumba Oxygen and Reggae Zone.

The station has now lost three journalists to Radio Africa including; Joyce Gituro and Felix Odiwuor (Jalang'o). Jalang'o made a comeback at Kiss FM just days after he had quit Milele FM.

"I had differed with the management on my contract offer after Covid-19 affected media business," Jalang'o stated.

In June this year, K24 TV, a subsidiary of Mediamax Network Limited fired all its newsroom staff in its broadcaster.

The former staffers had sued the station's management declining to take a pay cut that the station was instituting as a cost-cutting measure.

Several other reporters who were shown the door from Kijabe Street-based station have charted paths in other media organisations.

Daniel Kariuki, one of the journalists who was dismissed, started a new job at KTN News as a reporter majoring on political stories.

His previous show at K24 TV was a segment on the station's morning slot called Lishe Bora that centered around cooking.
