Police Boss Found Dead Inside Car

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a senior police officer in Kisii Central. 

The officers stated that they found Kisii Central Police OCPD Symon Gababa's body inside his car on Saturday, December 19. 

County Police Commander Jebel Munene confirmed the incident. 

He added that the vehicle had been parked outside staff quarters in Milimani area. The cause of death was, however, not yet established.

Gababa has held several senior roles in various regions in the country, from an OCPD in Taita Taveta and Nyandarua Counties. 

In Kayole, Nairobi, a Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officer also passed away on Friday night, December 18, two days after he was attacked by thugs. 

Constable Andrew Mithika Kaura was attached to DCI Mandera East. Kaura was assaulted on Wednesday, December 16 at Sokoni area, Kayole while on leave. 

The robbers ambushed him at around 8 pm while he was heading home. 

He sustained head and chest injuries and also lost two phones and some cash. 

Kaura was discharged from the hospital but passed away in his house

His body was transferred to the Kenyatta University Mortuary pending a post-mortem.
