CCTV cameras captured two armed thugs robbing Nairobi residents in broad daylight in January 2021.

A motorbike rider dropped the duo at the undisclosed estate.

The goons pretended to be asking for help to bait their victims into play.

One of the thieves posed as a disabled man, held the right hand on his right leg which he wanted the unsuspecting residents to believe was injured.

He then limped while scanning the environment for any dangers. His colleague pulled out his gun, cocked it and asked the residents to cooperate.

The limping goon, now assured of his safety, started walking normally and collected property from the terrified residents.

He was also armed with a penknife which he kept pointing at his victims.

The violent robber seized phones, money, wallets and any other valuable that came his way.

One of the residents, a middle-aged man who was standing appeared to pose a greater threat to the goons.

The armed robber held him at gunpoint from a distance as the 'limping' colleague ransacked through his pockets.

By that time, the boda boda rider had already returned ready to aid his customers to escape.

A primary school girl who passed by as the robbery was ongoing, stood at a far distance and watched the drama, oblivious of the danger she was putting herself in.

In December 2020, police raised alarm on robbery incidents associated with boda boda riders.

The law enforcers said that they would crackdown on the industry to curb the influx.
