The Jubilee party has stamped its authority by expelling six nominated senators on Monday, February 8.

Among the nominated senators include: Isaac Mwaura, Mary Yiane, Waqo Naomi Jilo, Millicent Omanga, Prengei Victor and Iman Falhada Dekow. One more case, also involving a nominated senator, is still pending.

Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju issued the notice affirming that the party had communicated to the Senate and The Registrar Of Political Parties.

The Party's  Disciplinary Committee had submitted their reports with respect to Senators who had appeared before them this year and last year on disciplinary violations as per article 13 of the Party Constitution.

He noted that the party carried out the expulsion in accordance with  Article 7 ( 2A ) of the Party constitution.

However, he noted that the affected legislators still reserved their right to make an appeal. These reports come after a section of the members had been calling for swift action to be taken on the legislators who allegedly violated the party code of conduct.

The Jubilee Party Vice Chair David Murathe had initially sounded a warning to errant party members affirming that their disloyalty would cost them.

The disrespectful and disloyal members will receive show cause letters this week. Some cases will end up in expulsion. Their actions go contrary to Article 13 of the JP constitution.

“This will extend to members advancing ideologies of other political outfits not affiliated to JP. We will not hesitate to expel them from the party.” Murathe stated.

Recently, Isaac Mwaura was on the spot for lashing out at President Uhuru Kenyatta during the homecoming event for Msambweni MP Feisal Bader.

The politician, who jumped ship from ODM and joined the Tangatanga brigade, blamed Uhuru for the country’s woes and claimed that Kenyans were fed up with dynasties.

Furthermore, Mwaura’s counterpart, Millicent Omanga has also in the past called out the President faulting him for fighting the hustler narrative.
