The media personality has inspired many not only through her shows but also her strength and determination to fight endometriosis.
The reggae queen suffered from endometriosis which is a painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside the uterus.
She sought medical treatment abroad where she underwent a major surgery for excision of endometriosis.
At Northside Hospital in Atlanta Georgia, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Endometriosis, catamenial pneumothorax with diaphragmatic endometriosis, sigmoid and rectovaginal endometriosis, and abnormal appendix.
In past interviews, Njambi revealed that she underwent 21 surgeries in total before she could experience normal menstruation.
Koikai jetted back in the country after successful surgeries and now she champions for the end endometriosis campaign to raise awareness on the little known disease.
Kenyans and fellow entertainers trickled congratulatory messages after Koikai shared the good news.
“Our queen is back at it” said Timothy Kimani alias Njugush.
“Uwwwwwwwwiii she is back!” said Abel Mutua.
“The queen of reggae is back on your radio!” said Judy Nyawira.
“Omg babe…so happy for you….so proud of you” said radio presenter Natalie Githinji.
