The family of ex-rugby coach Benjamin Ayimba is seeking Ksh2.9 million in order to offset the medical bills accrued from both Kenyatta Hospital and Avenue hospital.

The family issued an update on his health affirming that he had been transferred to KNH's private wing. They also stated that the former coach had regained consciousness.

The outstanding balance for Avenue hospital stands at Ksh1.6 million after the family paid Ksh2 million. Further, the KNH bill stands at Ksh1.3 million.

The family urged Kenyans of goodwill to help raise the amount as they worry that the hospital bill will keep piling.
